Implants

A dental implant mimics the form and function of a natural tooth, consisting of a root and a crown. The crown is the visible part of your tooth, primarily used for chewing food, which makes it highly susceptible to cavities. The crown is securely attached to the jawbone via the root. When dental decay progresses too severely or when periodontal disease reaches an advanced stage, extraction of the entire tooth, including the root, becomes necessary.

The dental implant itself is made from titanium or zirconium and is inserted into a socket created in the jawbone. After the implant root has healed and integrated with the bone, an artificial crown is placed on top. This new crown is customized to align with your bite and match the color of your existing teeth, ensuring a natural appearance and functionality.
