Fillings

A dental filling is an effective solution for preventing tooth decay and addressing cosmetic damage. The process begins with the removal of any decayed tissue, which is essential for restoring the tooth's health. To ensure a comfortable experience, we provide local anesthesia and sedation options for our patients. This approach allows us to perform the procedure with precision while minimizing discomfort, promoting a smooth recovery, and maintaining overall dental health. Our focus is on preserving your teeth and enhancing your smile through expert care and attention.

We are an Amalgam Safe practice

All existing amalgam fillings that are failing will be removed using the IAOMT Safe Amalgam Removal Protocol. This protocol is designed to ensure the safe extraction of amalgam fillings while minimizing exposure to mercury and other materials. Once the amalgam has been removed, composite filling material will be used to restore the tooth to its full function. Composite fillings not only match the natural color of your teeth, enhancing aesthetic appeal, but they also bond well with tooth structure, promoting a healthier restoration. This process helps to ensure the long-term success and durability of the restored tooth.

Composite Resin

Composite resin fillings offer an aesthetically pleasing solution due to their ability to be customized in color to match the natural shade of teeth. However, this option tends to be more expensive than amalgam fillings. Composite resin is particularly effective for various dental repairs, including curing chipped or cracked teeth, filling gaps, addressing dental discoloration, safeguarding exposed tooth roots due to gum recession, and reshaping teeth.

One of the benefits of composite resin fillings is that they bond to the teeth in layers, allowing for less removal of the natural tooth material during the procedure. This characteristic makes them an appealing choice for cavity fillings, as they can help preserve more of the tooth's structure while providing a durable and aesthetic repair option.
